Horses on stall rest or light working horses should get massaged once a month.
when your horse is in SHOCK - massaging lowers blood pressure and when a horse is in shock their blood pressure is already low.
FEVER - fever fights of infection. If a massage is given during this time it could cause a major healing crisis
CANCER - massage Speeds up metabolism and it could spread the condition.
LASIX - if your horse is on lasix for prevent a massage can be given one hour before lasix treatment but NOT after treatment
